How do I turn on the Elites?
Press the button on the far right ON/RESET.
How do you turn them off?
The Elites automatically turn off in 1 1/2 minutes if you do not set them or start them. If you are in a program receiving a treatment it will automatically go off when the treatment is complete. You may also hit the START/PAUSE button. If the treatment is not started within 1 1/2 minutes it will go off automatically. That is the same way you would be able to interrupt a treatment for maximum of 1/2 minutes and then be able to resume in the exact place you left off. You just press the START/PAUSE button again to continue.
How do I know if it is running?
You will see a number on the left side of the screen. This number is the program that is running. Sometimes there are several programs and you can see which one you are in. If it is "1", it is the first program—"2," you are in the second program. The number on the right is the amount of minutes left in that particular program.
I don't feel anything during the treatment, is that O.K.?
It is completely normal for people not to feel anything during a treatment. Micro current is extremely low amperage that operates below the threshold of pain.
Do you wet the skin or the attachment in order to get proper conduction?
It is better to wet the skin than the electro-pads or gloves. The skin will absorb the water or "Electrolytes" or whatever you are using. The skin will usually be moist enough to conduct sufficiently for 30 minutes. You may use salt in the water as well for proper conduction. We find it efficient to make a mixture of about 8 oz. of water and add a tablespoon of "Electrolytes". Then you can use it as needed and not keep mixing it—much less waste. You may also use the sticky pads that we sell. If you use those pads you don't need to wet the skin. It is much easier. You may also use sticky type pads from other companies as well; often they are compatible.
When I put on the glasses, I feel a prickly sensation, why?
The reason usually is that you are not conducting well enough. Wet the skin again and add more "Electrolytes." Check to see if you are making good contact with the skin. The glasses should not be loose. They should fit snuggly touching the skin. There are some people that are just a little more sensitive who seem to feel a "prickly" sensation around the eyes but it usually goes away in a minute or so if you checked the other things to do first.
Can I adjust the sound on the Elites?
On the Elite 2 you can by pressing the green arrows. The one pointing down makes it softer and the one pointing up louder. The Elite 1 doesn't have that capability.
How do I know if I need a new battery?
The biocomputer will automatically tell you. It will also give you advance notice on the screen that will say "REPLACE BATTERY". It will do this before you actually need to replace it so you will never stop in the middle of a treatment without notice.
What if I can't decide what setting to use?
We have test kits available for those who do the ART testing. If you don't do that, when in doubt use the "normalization" setting which is program #9 on Elite 1 and # 10 on Elite 2. It is a general setting that will normalize the cells and can be used for many health issues. You cannot ever go wrong using this setting.
What if I don't place the electrodes ox pads on the right spot? Will I still get a treatment?
You must remember that this is not like acupuncture, where if you miss the exact point you won't get a treatment. If you are using the pads, gloves or electrodes, any place between the 2 areas will get the treatment. Just don't touch them together or it will neutralize the charge. It can't harm you if you touch them together. The only thing is that you don't get a treatment at the moment they are touching the charge is neutralized.
Can I get electrocuted?
It is impossible. Remember there isn't any plug connected to any outlet.
Can you actually put it in the bathtub?
It is a fabulous treatment in the bath. You immerse the pads NOT THE MACHINE. The whole body gets a treatment. It is used like this for aches, body pain, jet lag, stress, dehydration, prevention of colds and flu. Separate the pads. Have them in the corners of the bathtub. I have them wrap around a shampoo bottle or a soap dish to keep them stable where I want them. Add electrolytes to the bath water. You don't feel any current or anything at all except great after.
Can you really do psychological clearing with the Elites?
Yes, you can use one pad in the middle of the forehead and one under the collarbone just to the left (K27). Focus on your issue for 15 minutes with the normalization setting or on a psychological clearing with the E-275 or E-2000. If you are using the ART then you can test to see if the person is done in less time.
If you wanted to try to pull metals out of the brain, where would you suggest placing the pads?
I would suggest placing one on the forehead between the eyes and one under the occiput just below the hairline. I would also suggest under one ear and the other one under the other ear. They can be done at the same time
What about the Qi Gong setting? Can I balance the meridians?
Yes. Place one pad on the left arch of the foot. Place the other one on the right palm of the hand. These are two major acupuncture points of the body. If you do this program daily for 45-60 minutes, you can "tune-up" all your blockages within the "Qi Field" which is the same as the "energy field."
Will the micro current glasses really help with eye problems?
In the book "Miracle Eye Cure" by Edward C. Kondrot, he specifically writes about micro current and helping and even correcting eye problems. By using micro current along with a nutritional program, he has successes with Macular degeneration-wet or dry, Diabetic Retinopathy, Vascular Retinal Disease, Retinitis Pigmentosa, Juvenille Macular Degeneration, Inflammatory Retinal Disease and, Drug Toxicity of the Retina. He talks about another machine in the book but now he now uses the Elites in his practice because the finds them superior to the one he wrote about originally. The electric glasses that come with the Elites are worn a minimum of 10 minutes a day. They can be worn longer if one chooses.
What do you use the gloves that come with the Elites for? Can I use them for knee pain?
The attachments can all be used interchangeably. Remember when using the gloves to use other gloves under them to shield the current from going into your hands in order for you to GIVE the treatment with them as opposed to receiving a treatment. If you were working on a pain in your knee, there are several different strategies. Place one pad or one glove directly on the pain and the other pad or pads surrounding the area. One can be placed under and one over. The can be placed above or below. Another choice would be to use the gloves and do micro current massage or lymph drainage. Remember when treating pain in the knees, hip or any sinus problem: always treat the TMJ!
If I am not using the sticky pads, how do I stabilize the gloves or pads?
Velcro that is purchased in a fabric or craft store works great. You can also use towels rested near the area or fabric to secure them.
What is the difference between Elite 1 and Elite 2?
The Elite 1 is single channel, which means it has one set of wires and you are treating 2 areas at one time. The Elite 2 is dual channel making it possible to treat 4 areas at once. The Elite 2 has many more preprogrammed settings. The Elite. 2 treats a problem faster.
When you see a letter "A" after the pain program what does it mean?
The letter A after the program :means that there are other programs in that particular mode. For example the pain mode is #8 on the Elite 2. You would see an A. When you hit the second button from the 19#, Then the program button will change to "Pain B Neck" , then To "Pain C Arms/Fingers’’, and then "Pain D Leg/Back" Whenever you see a letter after a program you know that there is at least one start button it starts the sequence for specific programs. There could be many programs for each setting.
What can I do for a general treatment for myself if I don't have any major complaints?
A good general treatment for an upper body is to place pads on both wrists. This will also treat all the blood that flows through the points. If you have the Elite 2, it is possible to treat the lower body by placing one pad on each arch of the feet. You can do that on the normalization frequency. The other great general treatment is the Qi Gong treatment with 1 pad on the right hand and the other on the left arch.
Is there a setting that you like for sleeping better?
The pads placed on the feet (arch area)—one on each foot—get great results
Can you do Neural Therapy with the electrodes?
Yes, this micro current machine does Neural Therapy without needles.
My patient just had back surgery and even the strongest painkillers are not working. What is your experience with the micro current?
We are seeing major miracles with people who are having pain. I have personal experience treating patients with that specific problem. I have seen their pain go completely away in situations where they got no relief form strong pain medications
What is the advantage of using "micro" currents?
These currents have the ability to penetrate the cell as opposed to going around the cell as other stronger devices do. There is a law called the "Amdt-Schultz Law" which states: "Weak stimuli increase physiologic activity and very strong stimuli inhibit or abolish activity". I think of it as watering a delicate flower with a water hose that is on full blast as opposed to watering it with a little glass of water and letting it go slowly into the soil utilizing the water instead of being bombarded with the high intensity water flow.
Will you give me a definition of micro current?
It is extremely small pulsating currents of electricity finely tuned to the level of the electrical exchanges, which take place at the cellular level. We can look at every cell in the body as mini electrical generator, which generate electrical currents. Micro currents works with these currents which allows the body to heal itself and it supports and helps many different functions of the body
What is the connection of micro current to ATP?
Micro current increases the production of ATP (which is the stored cellular energy that the cell uses to function).
Does micro current increase lymphatic flow?
Yes. It also increases blood circulation.
What other effects does micro current have on the biochemical functions of the body?
Micro current allows the body's own natural healing process to take place. Protein synthesis is increased which will assist in tissue repair. The polarity of the cell can be balanced. Absorption of nutrients is increased as well as elimination of waste products. In other words homeostasis is restored. Cheng states that these functions are increased five-fold.
What does ATP stand for?
Adenosine Triphosphate
Does it matter if the body is hydrated before the treatment?
Yes, it is better to drink some water before. Hydrated skin will conduct better. It is also important to drink some water after to flush away any toxins that have been released.
Can I program the micro current myself?
Yes, just hit the ON/RESET button at the exact time as the MODE button and then you can program in your own frequencies.
What does the "ua" stand for when you program yourself?
It is an abbreviation for micro amps, which is a measurement of the rate of current or electron flow.
What is the "hz" abbreviation?
This is for hertz which is the number of pulses of electrical current per second.
Does the micro current stimulation affect the neurological system?
Yes, the biological processes of the neurological system are affected-as well as the endocrine system and musculoskeletal system.
Why would I choose a gentle waveform when programming myself?
Electricity travels in waves. The biocomputers have adjustable waves that allow for varied depths of treatment depending on the type of tissue being treated. The gentler the wave form the deeper the penetration. If you want to reach muscles you use a gentle waveform. To stimulate the skin use a sharp waveform.
How different is the micro current from what naturally flows inside our body?
Becker discovered that micro current is the same type of current that flows through the human body.
1f you have pain what is the best setting for controlling it if you are programming it yourself?
Usually between 4-7 Hz.
What is the best program for pain?
The advantage of using the Elites is that there are programmed settings for pain and they automatically run through a series of them. On the Elite 2 you use the setting for pain and then select the specific program (head, arm or whateve)r. With the Elite 1, the best setting for pain is the Bio Bath program.
Acupuncturists work distally as well as on the specific area…how does that work with micro current?
That works with micro current as well. If you are treating one side of the body you should treat the other side and if you are treating the top you should treat the bottom.
What about using micro current with other methods from other modalities? For example, to increase energy in an area, as an acupuncturist I would treat toward the midline of the body.
Micro current enhances any modality. If you want to concentrate energy in an area you would use the gloves and work, as you would do without them. This would improve the circulation and do lymph drainage also. The opposite is also true. To disperse energy away from the area of complaint, treat away from the midline of the body. This helps break up congestion and relieve pain. You can also use a circling motion, especially on the extremities, to achieve this.
Why are we concerned with positive and negative polarity in the cell?
Cells with normal polarity do what cells do best: nourish, multiply, and regenerate. Positive charges in excess are out of balance. Since the human body Is made up of electrically charged cells, polarity, or the attraction or repulsion of electric current, is the key to successful electro-therapy. Positive and negative electrical energy will produce different effects in the body
What is the ideal ratio of positive and negative charges in a cell?
The ideal is 65% negative and 35% positive.
Does the micro current help restore the balance of the positive and negative charges in the cell?
Yes that is one of the "jobs" of the micro current.
Is positive polarity bad for our body?
NO! Not at all. Balance is the key. Both are necessary: Humans are negatively charged in the extremities and positively charged along the central nervous system. Negative current is antibacterial and excellent for pain control. Positive current has a constrictive effect. If you want to decrease inflammation—blood supply—to close pores, you want positive in your treatment. A positive charge will harden tissues and produce an acid reaction. If you want to sedate a nerve irritation you want positive in your treatment. When you want to close a wound positive is needed. Negative charges will produce an alkaline reaction, stimulate nerves, open pores, increase blood supply, soften tissues and start the healing cycle.
How do I decide which frequency to use?
The Elites are preprogrammed specifically for different treatments. You don't need to program yourself but if you choose they do have the capability. They are so "user friendly." Just select the program and hit the start button!! Very easy.
I tried to use the wires that the pads are connected to but they were only a few inches apart, what do I do?
The wires that come with the Elites can be pulled apart to any length that is required.
I know that the micro current helps drain the lymph but can you suggest other ways to increase the benefit of using micro current?
The micro current helps liquefy coagulated and congested lymph fluid. To maximize results you actually manually move it wearing the micro current gloves. There is a method that Dr. Klinghardt's staff from the American Academy of Neural Therapy teach which goes into the specifics. The idea is to have all the exit terminals of the lymph system open so everything is moving in the correct direction. It is quite a simple technique.
I can't do the lymph training class now—what can you suggest to enhance my treatment without it?
When you purchase the Elites, they come with clear charts for the use of the attachments for areas on the head, face , neck and upper back. You don't have to do the advanced lymph training to successfully do lymph drainage with the micro current.
Can you do facelifts with the micro current?
Yes, there is a micro current machine that we have that is specifically programmed for professional facelifts as well as all the other treatments. It is preprogrammed for all the facial programs you need which are about 45 minutes. It is called the E-2000. However, you can use the Elites and get results, but not as dramatic. There is a chart that comes with the micro current machines, which tell you exactly how to do it. The Elites are also good to do home maintenance if you already have done the professional facelift.
Have you had personal experience seeing results with the micronutrient for a facelift with the Elites?
Yes. We use it on ourselves and see a difference in our skins. It is just not the dramatic results that are obtainable with the stronger machine. Although most people we see are not coming for skin care, so many people comment on how they see an improvement in their skin and people report that hair grows where there hasn't been hair growing for 20 years. When you think about it, you are removing toxins, draining the lymph, getting rid of scar tissue, normalizing the polarity in the cell, allowing the intracellular fluids to be restored, and absorbing more nutrients—and you are doing this on the face and neck. To answer your question the answer is "Yes." I do see results.
What attachment is better to use when doing a facelift?
Electric gloves are faster. They cover more area in the same period. The probes take a little longer to accomplish the same thing. The probes take about 45 minutes and the gloves take about 30-35 minutes. However I personally find that people like the probes better. They are no so bulky and it is easier to get into smaller places. Usually I use the probes.
If I am doing metal mobilization can you get other benefits as well?
Yes. For example, when I am doing metal mobilization, I always follow the chart for the facelift. You don't have to follow the chart to get the metals mobilized but if you do, not only do you get the metals mobilized but the patient also gets a mini facelift. The charts clearly show how to do it, length of time, and optimal direction which works perfectly for working with the metals issue. The person gets the added beauty bonus. I have seen all kinds of different issues healed.. When I was working on someone whose intention was only skin care, after the second treatment she told me that she had been having ringing in her left ear constantly since 1991. I incorporated working around her ear and by the fifth treatment the ringing had completely gone away.. She also had mentioned that she was having a problem with her knee, and since I use multiple machines I used one on her knee and after the fifth treatment her knee pain was gone as well. I have had people who were going bald have their hair start to grow in places that hadn't had hair grow for 20 years.
Does the size of a person determine the effectiveness of micro current stimulation?
The size of a person doesn't make a difference. Other things do however, such as the type of stimulation, All micro current machines are not crated equal. The strength duration, and how often one receives treatment make a difference as well as one's sensitivity to electrical stimulation and the person's toxic load.
I keep hearing about the very expensive machines that you put your feet in water for a great detox; can you use the micro current for this type of treatment?
This is one of the things that we like so much about the micro currents that we use. They are so versatile. They do so many things. Yes, we do use the micro current for that type of treatment. Actually we feel it is superior to use the micro current than the other machines. First of all just because of the safety aspect. The other machines have a plug that is connected to an electrical outlet with very high frequencies running into the water where your feet are. If there is any problem electrically there are potential major problems. The machines that we use have been used in baths for 15 years we have lots of experience with electricity in water. We use batteries only. We use the pads in the water. There is low amperage but you don't need the high. It seems as if the really high frequencies may work well for some individuals but the high frequencies we feel could be too high. Back to the flower analogy trickling in water can be much better than blasting a flower with water. We are soon to have a coil that attaches to the machine to give it a little boost if you want to have a little stronger treatment.
What are people charging for micro current treatments?
It varies mostly on geographic location. The least expensive being $50 with a wide range of prices with $175 being on the top end. Please contact me for current pricing.
How many treatments on an average do I do for a facelift on an E-2000?
There are recommendations depending on the individual of course. In genera,l depending on the age of the person you would do treatments for 12 weeks and then do maintenance. For example, someone who is 40-50 would do an initial series of 12 treatments:3x a week for one week and 2x a week to complete the 12. Maintenance is a treatment every 3-4 week.
If I sterilize the probes can I treat open sores?
Make sure everything is sterile if you do it. However, you can very successfully treat going around it.
If a point is sore is OK to treat?
The most effect treatment points are the sore and tender ones.
Where do I place the electric pads to treat someone with low energy?
The best areas are from left hand to right foot or inside wrist to inside wrist or foot to foot.
Can you do Segmental therapy with micro current?
Yes it works fine. There is a manual that the American Academy of Neural
Therapy and Institute of
Neurobiology (www.neuraltherapy.com) has available that gives all the specifics and exact locations
for placing the probes.
Can you use the probes on trigger points as well?
Yes, and acupuncture points as well.
Are micro current treatment covered by insurance?
Many insurance companies cover treatments. Some plans let consumers buy machines and/or attachments.
Can I leave the room when I give a treatment?
Depending on the treatment there is no reason you can't have someone receive a treatment with pads and or gloves while you are doing something else or not even there.
I notice that you do a lot of work inside a persons mouth. Why?
We find that many issues are related to TMJ being even mildly out of alignment. We see people's pain in their hip, back, and knee heal so much faster when we add in the TMJ techniques. It also seems to make a big difference with sinus and metal issues.
Is it true that some people need to use them for hours a day?
Some people can benefit from very long treatments depending on their health issue. Sometimes we have our patients buy their own or rent them.
What is the difference between gentle and deep wave forms?
Electricity, like wate,r travels in waves. The biocomputers have varied depths of waves that allow for varied depths of treatment depending on the type of tissue being treated. The gentler the wave form the deeper the penetration. If you want to reach muscles, you use a gentle wave form. If you want to stimulate the skin a sharp wave is used.
Does the sound on the biocomputer have significance?
Yes, the higher the pitch the higher the frequency and current.
